This class is an invitation to slow down and reconnect — with food, with memory, and with yourself.

Chinese home cooking is not about perfection or performance. It’s about rhythm, balance, and the quiet wisdom passed down through generations.

In this 4-hour, hands-on workshop, we will cook together, share stories, and experience Chinese food as it is lived at home.

This is currently the only Chinese home cooking class of its kind in Munich — focused not on restaurant dishes, but on everyday food, cultural understanding, and embodied experience.

A group size of maximum 12 participants allows for personal guidance, smooth collaboration, and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone is seen, involved, and comfortable asking questions.

It’s a homecoming.

Chinese home cooking has always known how to create depth and satisfaction without relying on meat. In this vegetarian edition, we explore the richness of mushrooms, vegetables, and tofu — an ingredient that originated in China more than 2,000 years ago and comes in many forms and textures.

Tofu is often misunderstood outside of China. In reality, it is not one single product, but a family of varieties — soft, firm, pressed, dried — each with its own character and culinary role. In this workshop, you will learn how to handle and season tofu properly so that it becomes flavorful and nourishing rather than bland.

In this 3.5 hour hands-on session, we cook together, share stories, and discover how plant-based Chinese home cooking builds balance and depth through technique, seasoning, and thoughtful combinations.

With a maximum of 12 participants, the group size allows for personal guidance, smooth collaboration, and a relaxed atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable asking questions.

It’s not about replacing meat.
It’s about understanding flavor differently.

It’s a homecoming — in a vegetarian way.
